2023 Summary:

This year has been a very eventful! I've done so many things that I thought I would never do and met so many cool people along the way. Reflecting about it now makes me very excited for the future plans that I have in stored. The last New Year's resolution post I made I had set some goals for myself so I would like to talk about what I did to meet those goals.

Making more animation:

As far as animation goes I was able to practice during the earlier parts of this year. I had so many ideas for cartoons that I wanted to do but because of time constraints and doing other things in regards of IRL I had to unfortunately put it to the side for later. Thankfully I was able to put out at least two cartoons. One cartoon was for the Halloween Collab that @Dannygoodshirt put out.

Another animation I did was a goofy cartoon for lethal company. I made this for self-indulgence cuz I enjoyed seeing the crazy mishaps that would happen to my friends whenever they play it. It was so good, so funny. I had to make something for it

I honestly should have known that this video would have popped off given how popular the game is but man thank you! thank you so much everyone for enjoying this! (I was recently hit 1 million views on YT for this cartoon. that's crazy!)

Cooking more accomplished

There's not much to say about that one. Just that I've been cooking more and more when I can and it's good to know that I can survive through these skills LOL

Did I write more?

Yes and no. I was writing when I was coming up with animation ideas throughout the year and I guess that's what kind of driven me away from doing some of them because I was spending more time writing out the ideas then actually creating the idea (if that makes any sense)

Specifically I was working on a spooky neighbor 2 ep. and I wanted to have a better storyline. I made a rough-draft of the script and then I had a good friend of mine revise it while throwing some ideas into the mix. I'm really hoping that I can get a episode out by 2024's Halloween.

Moving

Well here's a big one. Unfortunately because of financial circumstances, moving is going to take more time to execute. I'm hoping by Spring 2024 that's when I'll be able get that done.

Extra stuff:

So there was some other cool things I was able to do this year. I was very excited to attend the too many games event that took place. I have Vlogged and Blogged about that event in another Journal.

I also went to a newgrounds meet up in New Jersey which was really cool as well. You can take a look at my Vlogged/ Blogged Journal on that event as well.

I would say those two meetups was a big deal for me because it took me out of my comfort zone as far as getting out there and actually meeting with people. The too many games event was my first time going to any convention ever and I had so much fun just looking around the different types of games and the Newgrounds panel that took place was phenomenal. it was so much fun. The Yestercade Meetup was like very cozy and very welcoming experience and I wouldn't trade that memory for the world.

2024 plans

Well it's a given that I want to make more content as far as animation. what kind of Animation I'm not sure. I still want to lean into making more original work but there's also always the possibility of me getting into something really cool and making fan work so who knows. All I know is I want to put out more animation that I did this year. I'm still a rookie when it comes to this sort of thing but I'll learn.

I think another major thing is collaborating more with my close friends and partner. It's weird ; I admire a lot of the work on Newgrounds where a bunch of talented people comes together and makes a singular masterpiece but I sometimes feel like I avoid that out of fear(?) idk. I guess it's just something I need to work on. I want to be able to collaborate with different artists and voice actors and musicians to make a cool thing. huh, maybe it's finally time for me to conjure up an event or something. lol

Other than that let's hope that 2024 turns out for the better. lol. Thank you everyone who's stuck around to watch me grow and support me as an artist. Cheers! 🍻

Hello hello Everyone!

to start off ; YES, I have yet again made a compilation video of my meetup at yestercade! The place overall is such a delight to see and I wish I would have recorded more but this is all I have since I was like balancing out from taking pictures and recording. (also shout out to @Wilidaciouse for the End Track of this video. His music is such a vibe~)

While I was waiting for other people to arrive, I was walking around exploring and window shopping for the most part. There was definitely a lot of cafes and restaurants around but I did stumble upon two stores dedicated to comic books and retro games respectively. very nice~

In this pic we have @CheddarExuberant , @CaptainStevie and @thesteves. I encountered the Awesome Trio when I was walking back to the arcade. Very cool and exciting finally meeting y'all!

The four of us were still walking around the area killing time. Eventually we went back to the arcade and met up with more newgrounders like @yendorng and @robertz (i think. sorry if wrong @)

More time passed and more people started to show up. a good sized crowd was forming. We were passing out our stickers and drawing in sketch books. @BrandyBuizel appeared and passed out nametag stickers, the meet up hominid sticker made by @SirLenward and glowsticks! everything was going nicely it was a lil goofy workin around with the small tables but we made it happen. Eventually, we all migrated in the building. (in the vid you'll see me do a walk through) after words i played a few games:

much later towards the end i grab a bite to eat and drink with a small group at the brewery. it was very pleasant talkin and relaxing with everyone. i loved the beer they where severing! it called "Blues for the blondie" and it has a sweet blue berry taste to it. (im a sucker for blueberry flavor) Shout out to @coby for buying us wine! the wine was very good too~

Afterwards we went back to the arcade and I talked with a few peeps and said my goodbyes~ This meet up was so awesome. i honestly wish i could have recorded more or took more pictures cuz i don't wanna forget how fun it was and just the overall day was fantastic.

the only bad thing that happened is that i dropped my phone. now it has a crack top left corner but its not so bad~

(my Friday the 13th moment, damn.)

Thanks Newgrounds Fam. im Happy that i was able to attend this. it honestly gets me pumped to work harder on my art and everything. i really wanna do more animation and art so i have something to show for future meet-ups. There's also other big goals i have planned irl things as well. Talking to alot of you really puts in perspective that everyone has their own path in life and has their one trials and obstacles to get through. i hope for the best outcome for everyone and yall succeed in the end.

I gotta say this was very exciting! I don't normally do this sorta thing and was nervous in the beginning. This was my First time going to a meet up AND my first time going to a convention like this. All of you guys where awesome and chill. I know i was wearing a nametag but was very shock of the many people who were surprise when the realize who i was.

a few newgrounders was already waiting for the meet to start so we all sat in a circle and was drawing in each others sketchbooks.

Meeting up with @MKMaffo was great~ She so Sweet and a Goober! Her art style is always so fun to look at. I wish i could have taken a pic with her and @milkypossum but i didn't know where she was at the time. Ack, would have been cool.

So apparently during the meet up VinnyVinesause was there (?) lmao. i honestly wasn't expecting him to check out the NG panel. It was Goofy when i was just finishing up talking to Tom, then i was doing something else, then whiplashing to see him. my Reaction was literally "HOLY SHIT ITS VINNY!" and Speeding over a row of chairs to greet him. he originally wanted to see Tom but i sorta snag the V-man real quick for a photo and autograph (Sorry 😭)

and finally @ninjamuffin99 and @phantomarcade . Originally was gonna go home early but i had to use the bathroom. Glad i didn't leave cuz i would've miss these mugs. They showed up pretty late in the event. Its was really nice to finally see Cam and Dave. Very cool and chill individuals . . . . very chill . . . like "probably" smokin on dat tree kind of chill (lmao)

I believe i saw @moawling (if it was you in the pink mask) im sorry i didn't get to talk to ya. it would have been cool havin ya signing my book, your an awesome pixel artist! oTL

Hey everyone!

it's been a bit since I wrote any news. I guess I can go over an update of what I've been doing and what I have planned for the rest of the year.

 A lot of my daily life has been keeping me from drawing, Which stinks, but I still find time to do it at least. I'll doodle here and there and maybe even do animation practice but nothing concrete. I'm gonna have to push myself to draw/ animate more. ( if I can) 

With the reminder of Pico day around the corner, it has got me pumped to work on this cartoon idea. I have a months worth to do it so hopefully I get that fleshed out and ready before the due date. If not I'll work on it till its done. I' need to get in the habit of having projects finished instead of dropping the whole thing together. Other than that there's still projects I want to get done (Two other cartoons before the year ends) but we'll see what happens. My scheduling and motivation has been so fickle lately. I hate it.

 I think it's great that I can still come back to the site and enjoy it for what it is. It still holds up till this day supporting creators of all types. Not only that but the site is also always improving with updates. (I'm personally excited for the update for the art portal btw lol) idk, I know it ain't perfect all the way but its very engaging and its always fun exploring all the different events. (such as collaborations, contests, celebrations and wut not.) Its very nice~

 I'm glad this site is one of the reasons that keep me going as far as making any kind of content honestly and I think that counts for something.

Let's see . . . I guess to wrap it up, thanks for all who find me cool enough to follow me and ; you know, willing to check out my stuff lol. I'll try harder to be more active on here cause I know I've been slacking off and that's no good. . . gotta get on that.

I would say, its been a wild ride. most of this is gonna look very dabble like and maybe all over the place so bare with me. im drinking and typing as i go. you can listen to this while reading. lol

i said in my last journal with 2022; i wanted to be more involved with NG. and hell yeh i did. makes me wanna contribute more to this amazing community.

i participated in some contest and collabs and it was a great way to do more art content in general. im happy i was able to do that. Hopefully i can output some more original stuff. Even with events i wasn't a part of it was nice seeing it unfold and witnessing the end product of it all.

i was able to muster up more animation this year and im pretty stoke how much peeps like the angry faic design. i was even more excited of the animation i put out for NG Spooktacular this year.

i would say this was a nice check off for my '22 newyears resolution: to be able to put out a decedent enough animation.

i want to be able to do more.

i wanna do more animations and try to convey stories or skits on my own. lil by lil im learning on my own but hopefully i'll be able to learn asap for '23

other than art skillz, im trying to improve on myself as a person. i'll be honest its kinda tough for me cuz im hardheaded but know i am trying.

2023 NEWYEAR goals: (kinda a list for myself to look back at)

• make more animation
• cook more
• moving out from current location
• write more?

Most of the people that keep in contact with or i countered this year has been a blast and i couldn't ask for a better experience with them. i would list names but i don't wanna be an ass and forget somebody; so you know who you are lol. There was a few i was trying to make amends with but that didn't turn out so well. As much i don't like the outcome of it, i guess i just need to grow up and move on.

For the most part im just going with the the flow but i do hope next year gets better.

I guess it started around March is when i was getting into Friday Night Funkin.

i was seeing so much FNF Fan art on twitter (og game and the mods. lol) and so i started to draw some myself. it was nice. i was really into the hex mod at the time and then i started to become a "Funk-head" lmao

After a while i was trying to learn more about the characters like Pico (cuz i'll be honest, didn't know who the hell that was) and learned he's a NG character by Tom Fulp.

"oh yeah. there's that website again" i thought to myself. NG wasn't new to me but i never pay it much mind. I was baffled at how Cameron (Ninjamuffin) and Dave (PhantomArcade) talk about the community with such passion. So i finally gave it a chance and started exploring more and posting stuff.

Now im in love with the place. there's so much to do and it has so much to offer. i was and still so amazed how active it is here with there being collabs and events through out the months. To top it all off i met amazing individuals along the way. im very happy to rediscover Newgrounds in a better perspective.

I hope to contribute more this 2022. i have ideas i just need to actually set it in motion.

So things has been sorta 50/50 in irl

Warning : venting about life stuff.

I haven't been productive as of late and been takin a break from art in general.

A lot of my time has been consumed with work and babysitting. Each time I get a chance to draw anything I get pulled away to do some tasks for my family. It gets monotonous and annoying.

Work, Babysit, social media and sleep. It feels wrong and unhealthy at times.

There's times where I just want to leave the house and never come back.

I won't go in detail what I've been goin through here, but alot of the time I feel unwanted, and misunderstood in this household.

Well, for starters, Certain Events have currently take place and overall im not exactly happy about it. Its too the point where its interfering with my artwork.

Not gonna lie, I feel trapped in where I live at, but I know thats not case and I just need to grow some balls and manage my life better.

As far as art goes, I'm gonna try to art/animate as much as I can here.

This journal is honestly a reminder for myself to keep motivated. Lol
